If you use EMS as you propose, and you run the same file ten times, you will have ten different results.  If that is what you are looking for, then fine.  IF you are looking to compare a number of alternatives, then this will not work.  You will not know if your energy savings are due to an increased R-value (for example), or from the differences in the schedule.
If you want to run multiple alternatives with the SAME random-seeded schedule, then generate the random-seeded schedule in a separate file and use a Schedule:File object.
I hope this clarifies my comments.
