I've put hydronics into buildingsurface:detailed sufaces which I located inside the zone and it worked. I'm sure you'll be fine. Monitor your surface temps, water temps and mass flows as well as the convection coefficients to check it is working as expected. In my experience hard sizing gives the best results, but then you have to size it very realistically. No crazy mass flows with impossible pressure losses. Correct length and number of circuits, etc.
