Re: [EnergyPlus_Support] Severe Error occuring in the simulation




So basically the coil's control valve is actuating in the wrong direction. For example, if the in comming air is warmer than the fluid in a heating coil, the valve will actuate so as to best try and reach the air outlet temperature setpoint temperature. If that setpoint were colder or warmer than the air, the valve would try and close, because opening would in fact cool the air. So to effectively heat, the valve must close, which is counter the user specified heating action.
The same but inverse situation can happen for cooling coils.
