Hello guys,
I am having some trouble here with the simulation in EnergyPlus 8.1. First I used the example file generator in the website and it worked well.
1- However, there is no .xls/.csv spreadsheet in the attached files as the email stated, I need it because I wanna see the whole 8760 hourly data.
2- I am trying to use the .idf file to run the simulation in my computer using other locations. That includes non-US ones, so I can't use the example file generator anymore, there is only US cities there. So, the process is running okay, it finishes, but the output files don't show up at all. The buttons for output files remain inactive! It's funny because when I run the example files from the folders, they generate everything. With the example files from the Example File Generator, they only generate the error file when I run them, why? I just need the csv file, all the spreadsheets. Check the screenshot please.
3- To finish, how can I put the setpoint for the HVAC system, both heating and cooling to 70 F? And to add a 2.5 ft x 6 ft door? And a flat roof? And the wall material such as styrofoam?
4- Just to make sure, the front side of house is facing South, so the house orientation should be 0 or 180 degrees?
