RE: [EnergyPlus_Support] what's the output variable for solar radiation incident on external surfaces, both walls and windows?





The output you cite is for absorbed solar, not incident.  If you really want incident, I’d suggest using the output variable “Surface Outside Face Incident Solar Radiation Rate per Area” and take the value for the base surface that surrounds the window subsurface.

It seems "Surface Outside Face Solar Radiation Heat Gain Energy" will only report solar radiation incident for non-window surfaces.

Advices are greatly appreciated!
