That field means the VRF system can simultaneously cool and heat the
zones. For example, one zone connected to a single VRF system condenser
requires cooling and another requires heating, at the same time.
Check to see if any of the terminal units are ever operating in
different modes.
The report variable VRF Heat Pump Operating Mode will NOT tell you if
simultaneous cooling and heating occurs, only what operating mode the
condenser is using at the current time step.
You could report for all terminal units:
Zone VRF Air Terminal Total Cooling Rate
Zone VRF Air Terminal Total Heating Rate
If all terminal units only show a cooling (or heating) rate, the VRF
system is NOT simultaneously cooling and heating.
