Re: [EnergyPlus_Support] Wrong autocalculated areas

You have probably used "other zone surfaces" twice and this is why they are doubled.

If you use the "auto interzone surface" option in one zone -- you should not and cannot use it in the adjacent/opposing zone.

Hi,

Has anybody noticed wrong autocalculated areas and volumes for some zones using Legacy Openstudio and EnergyPlus?

Some zones appear to have doubled squarefootage in the html file and thus, all objects assigned per sqft (internal loads, ventilation rates, etc...) are wrong and produce incorrect results.

Any clues about how to avoid having this issue? I end up hard coding the area for each zone manually, even if it was a huge model. I just wondering if there was an easier way to do this, so that the software autocalculates it correctly on its own.
