That may have been true at the time. I believe we
added the "repeat" field to the regular RunPeriod and then, as
Jim says, at Jim's suggestion we added the CustomRange for handling
multiple year (usually real) data in a more recent version.
You could look at the features tracking on the website to understand when
it was added.

As far as I understood, at the time the thesis was written (2005) the
possibiliity of e+ doing multi-year simulations didn't exist ... and the
guy had to make changes to the code and had to add the field "Number
of simulation years" to the IDD file.
