Re: [EnergyPlus_Support] E+ error - maximum Z height

It doesn't have to be an off z-height, but it may be.

Could it be somesort of crazy radiation exchange?

Could it be that there is a numerical instability and the temps swing wildly from itteration to itteration?

Are you using any CondFD on any surfaces?

What timestep are you using?

Did you try another weather file?

I have been encountering this error with one of my models -

   ** Severe  ** SetOutBulbTempAt: Surface Outdoor Temperatures < -100 C
   **   ~~~   ** ...check Surface Heights - Maximum Surface Height=[20941].

It is a fairly large model with around 2,200 surfaces and I tried looking at the Z coordinate values for the surfaces by sampling and do not see anything off as yet.

Has anyone else encountered this error previously? Please let me know about it.

Thanks
