Hi Aditya,

To model the effect of ceiling fans on thermal comfort you would use an Air Velocity Schedule with an appropriate value for the air movement created by the fans. To model the energy consumption you'd then add an equipment load. The Fan:ConstantVolume is for moving air around air loops so not appropriate for what you need.

On the design conditions, the 99.6% heating design condition is the temperature which is exceeded 99.6% of the year, and similarly for the 99% heating design condition. Design days are the period in which EnergyPlus runs when sizing any autosized heating and cooling components. You can read up on them here.

            As discussed earlier, I've to model a 2BHK house in which AC is provided in only Master Bed, & only ceilings fans are installed in rest of the rooms. So, can i use " Fan:ConstantVolume " for this purpose or suggest what can i use.

            Also please tell me what are these design days & what is " 99.6% & 99% heating Design Conditions ", & how does it affects simulation results. Which one Design condition can i use ?
