You can also use LBL WINDOWS to make a calculation. It reports SHGC and SC in the detailed report for glazing systems. You can use existing glass and make
your own modification to match SC and you will get SHGC calculated. Ned Lyon, P.E. (MA, WV) SIMPSON GUMPERTZ & HEGER

Hello Ivan,
To: EnergyPlus_Support@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Ivan, E+ has no place for shading coefficient. The WindowMaterial:SimpleGlazing system uses Solar Heat Gain coefficient (SHGC), which is a different property that addresses soalr performance. WindowMaterial:Glazing uses properties (transmittance, reflectance, etc.) which, together, describe the solar performance of the glass. If you are not aware of the extensive database of glass / window properties available from the IGDB and also the
Window
software from Lawrence Berkeley, you should investigate that helpful resource. On Wed, Mar 11, 2015 at 9:08 AM, Ivan Mezzacapa
