Have you tried the smallest timestep of 1 min?

Using SetpointManager:FollowSystemNodeTemperature gives interesting results. 

Unfortunately, the convergence of HVAC calculations becomes an issue, and some values oscillate, but I guess there is not much I can do about it, or is there?

Fixing as restrictive as possible Maximum and Minimum Limit Setpoint Temperatures does seem to help.
