Perhaps consider that your hot water supply temperature is not hot. Add an axillary water heater to supplement your hot water supply to the coil.
ÂDear All,I am currently modelling a solar desiccant with absorption cooling system. I use a storage tank to store solar hot water and provide the collected hot water to a Hot Water Heating Coil for regenerating the desiccant wheel and to the Absorption Chiller generator respectively. The Storage Tank is located in the Hot Water Use Side Loop Supply Side. And in the Loop Demand Side, there are two branches: the regeneration Hot Water Heating Coil branch and the Absorption Chiller generator branch. I set the loop demand water inlet to 75C and demand water outlet to 60C. And also I set the Loop supply side water flow rate (tank use side design flow rate) to 9.2 kg/s, set the  Absorption Chiller generator design hot water flow rate to 4.4 kg/s, and the Hot Water Heating Coil parameters are:    Performance Input Method: NominalCapacity  Rated Capacity: 300 KW  Rated Inlet Water Temp: 75C  Rated Outlet Water Temp: 60C  Rated Inlet Air Temp: 35C  Rated Outlet Air Temp: 50C  Rated Ratio for Air and Water Convection: 0.5According to these assumptions, I think the Hot Water Heating Coil water maximum flow rate should be 4.8 kg/s, and it should be able to heat the air to 50C regeneration temperature. However, the simulation results show that the water flow rate is zero in the  Hot Water Heating Coil, and the Hot Water Heating Coil Capacity is only 35 KW. Also, the loop supply side water flow rate output (storage tank use side) is equal to the  Absorption Chiller generator flow rate of 4.4 kg/s, but not 9.2 kg/s that I have set. No errors happened after running the simulation. And all other conditions are satisfied except the zero water flow rate in the Hot Water Heating Coil. Coud any body know why this happened and give me some suggestions to sovle this problem?ÂThanks very much!Best regardsBruce
