RE: [EnergyPlus_Support] Re: representative days for simulation

The file Linda referred to only includes winter and summer design day information. I don’t know where you could get monthly design day information. Trane Trace uses monthly design days but I don’t believe Trane publishes that information.

Linda, thanks for the help. Where can I reach this place that you mentioned? Is it a website?

You could choose the monthly design days for your location.

Not perhaps typical but representative.

Hi,

I am doing a comparative study that compares a number of buildings with varying window sizes. I would like to reduce the computation time by limiting the RunPeriod to only one day per season, 4 in total. what is the best way to select these days? I am also calculating daylighting, so any random day runs the risk of being not representative of the whole season. for example a selected day can be an exceptionally sunny day in cold winter. any ideas would be greatly appreciated...

Ipek
