Has anyone experiance with modelling a grate (typical 44x44 mm) used as solar protection?

I have a client who wants to use such a grate under 45° to protect his building from the sun.

I could draw the grate in Designbuilder, but the dimensions are to small and the total surface is to large.

Is there a way to model such a solar protection in an alternative way?
