[EnergyPlus_Support] OutdoorAir:Node question

I checked the InputOutput Reference and it appears that the OutdoorAir:Node object cannot be located inside to take advantage of better ambient conditions. For example, the project we are working on has an air cooled VRF system. The condenser is located in the underground parking level which is heated. The project is in Climate Zone 7.

I see that a refrigeration system condenser can be located in a zone. It would be handy if the OutdoorAir:Node could also be located in a zone.

I guess the only way to approximate this situation is to modify the VRF curves so the efficiency remains constant below the expected winter temperature of the underground parking zone. Likewise with the cooling curves.

Hello Jeremiah,

Heba referred to an Excel spreadsheet you provided. I don’t suppose you wish to share that spreadsheet?

Dear Heba,

The methods of calculating HC and U are from ASHRAE 90.1.

You can find more materials in the dataset that ships with E+ called HOF materials.

Best-

Hello Jeremiah Crossett,

I had benefited too much from XLS sheet file.

Now I have a small problem,

I need to use your inputs for the (Asphalt very rough) layer,

How can I cite the numbers in my research??

The question in another way,

Where can I find the source of your inputs for different layer materials?!!

I am in a bad need for it,

Thanks in advance,

Heba
