If you are investigating just the panels and not that interested in the building, use TrnSys. Much more effective for your goals.

It sounds like you may not be an EnergyPlus user. If that's true, this will be a difficult task for you.
If you are an E+ user, another possibility is some modification of the weather file - something akin to more clouds. I am not an expert about that, however.
