Re: [EnergyPlus_Support] Need Clarification

Dear Jean,
Thank you. Actually I am simulating various HVAC system by EP. In that case I also found some difficulties. Such as at first I need HVAC design Annual Cooling Load which will be same for all HVAC system but energy will be different. But I am not sure and also in confuse how I can calculate Annual HVAC COOLING LOAD at first and then add various HVAC system to check efficiency. In that case if I want to calculate Annual Cooling Load/Demand in GJ should I need to add any HVAC template like ILAC? I have the following result but confuse which one is the Actual Annual Cooling load which will be the fixed for all simulation for comparison.

I think this is the heat rejection of chillers, possibly also other heat pumps. Boiler gas exhaust is most likely not included. Have you checked the outputdetails  document. I can't be sure what maps to it. If you need a break out on your components per say, check the rdd for the fitting variable and report it at the desired interval such as hour, day, month, year or timestep.

Sajal,
Have you looked at the yourfilename.MTD file? It includes information like this:
For Meter=CoolingCoils:EnergyTransfer [J], ResourceType=EnergyTransfer, EndUse=CoolingCoils, contents are:
CLGCOIL1_OFFICE:Cooling Coil Total Cooling Energy
or
For Meter=Gas:HVAC [J], ResourceType=Gas, Group=HVAC, contents are:
  RADIANTHTR_WAREHOUSE:WHSEZONE:Zone Radiant HVAC Gas Energy

This means that each component which is part of a particular meter is listed within the .MTD file so you can understand fully what contributes to the total.
"Heat rejection" is normally the energy rejected by a cooling tower or fluid cooler to the atmosphere. It's possible that there is another component which is included.

Can anybody give me a detail clarification about Heat Rejection:Energy Transfer?? If the annual value of HRET is 433.24 GJ, so Heat Rejection:Energy Transfer = sum of what type of energy (boiler/chiller/fan or etc.). I have attached a documents if clarify - it will be very helpful for me. Thank you in advanced.

Thank you for your feedback. Actually I need Energy Flow data or a HVAC system that means for example if I simulate Fan-coil HVAC template then from the result I need Evaporation Cooling energy, Compressor energy, Condenser energy and total energy exhaust or use by this system for cooling.
>> from the simulation .html file I found: Cooling coil total energy (sensible+latent), fan, pump etc. but I need to balance the energy flow of that particular HVAC system that is how much energy is needed for cooling and how much exhaust heat for that purpose. In that case I need to know from the simulation:
Which one is Evaporation Cooling Energy/Load? is that cooling coil sensible energy??
2. Which one indicates Compressor Energy/Load?  is that the energy come from pump/fan??
3. Which one indicates Condenser Energy/Load? is that cooling coil latent energy??and finally
4. Which one indicates Total Exhaust Energy/cooling Load from html or another file?
Thank you and your suggestion will be great help for my clarification.

Sajal,
Specific components of energy are not always listed in standard reports such as those in your .html file. For specific energy types, become familiar with Output:Meter and also the .mdd file, which lists the meters that are available for us in your specific model.
