RE: [EnergyPlus_Support] how to write scripts for running IDFs and upgrade IDF versions?

Dear Yanfei,

You should try jEPlus (http://www.jeplus.org/wiki/doku.php?id=docs:manual_1_6). Either select all the IDF files you want to run in the GUI, or list them in a text file to include in the project. In the latter case you can generate the list from your code. jEPlus will manage the simulation runs and extract/aggregate results for you. It can be run using the command-line, so be fully integrated with your code.

There is a version converter utility in the GUI to help you upgrade your IDFs.

Regards,

Yi

Subject: [EnergyPlus_Support] how to write scripts for running IDFs and upgrade IDF versions?

Dear Energylus,
I am doing building energy simulation by EnergyPlus. I have hundreds of IDF files generated from coding scripts. I need to do two things:
(1) writing some script to run the IDFs, instead of manually start the running for 100s simulations.
(2) writing some script to upgrade some IDF versions.

Any example/source i can use to realize such ideas?

Thanks!

Yanfei
