I'm using this tool of thyssenkrup website. It's good, but i'm trying to develop something using spreadsheets.

I will download this software called Elevate, Julien. Thanks!

Most manufacturers - at least those that offer VVVF(variable voltage variable frequency)/regenerative drives - have such calculators online (that's kinda their selling point). Magnetek, Thyssenkrup, etc (top of my head/pardon the spelling)

If you wanted to go past this you could look into the elevator traffic analysis software called "Elevate". I've never used it (never managed to install it on windows 7) but the creators seem to be authority on the subject based on the papers they published and the fact that it is used by specialized companies.

I've seen one from a manufacturer (website)...i think it was Thysson, where you could specify a carraige with a kind of wizzard to get out a techinical specification including the annual energy usage in kWh.

Manufacturers are your best bet for this kind of info.
