It works. Small correction though:
surface orientation relative to North at 0 degrees =
(Output:Variable,*,Site Solar Azimuth Angle,hourly; !- Zone Average [deg]) + (Output:Variable,*,Surface Window Solar Vertical Profile Angle,hourly; !- Zone Average [deg])

I can record it once as the sum should remain constant.

Dear Community, does anyone know how to extract surface orientation (relative to North) from simulation outputs? I have to develope an EMS that will assign different solar thresholds for window shading based on the glazing outward facing orientation relative to North. Any ideas are welcome. Kind regards, Jean
