Re: [EnergyPlus_Support] Custom climate file rendering simulations corrupt
No, you are fine to have both Design Builder and EnergyPlus
installed on the same computer.
The biggest trick as I remember for Design Building weather files is that
the year has to be 2002 -- they may have a converter that would help you
with that or they automatically assume it.
If you need help converting your file, let me know.

Thank you very very much for the
help- Jim Dirkes, Linda Lawrie and Dr Crawley .Â
I will try this with E+ weather file converter.Â
I would like to  know  (from anyone who has worked with both
DesignBuilder and E+), whether I can have the two simultaneously
installed in my computer, or do I have to uninstall DesignBuilder before
installing stand alone E+
Kind regards,

- The WeatherConverter that comes with EnergyPlus can convert a weather
file to CSV (comma-separated values) format. You can then edit in a
spreadsheet. The WeatherConverter can then convert that revised file back
to EPW

- Hello,
- I am trying to validate field measurements with EnergyPlus simulation
data using a custom weather file. I have used the following software to
modify an existing epw file to custom climate file:
-
http://bigladdersoftware.com/projects/elements/
- However, when I am simulating with the custom climate file in
designBuilder software, an IDF error is showing up. I think the problem
is due to the custom climate file.
- Is there any other way to modify .epw format other than using the
elements software?Â
- Thanks and regards,
- Roshmi Sen
