[EnergyPlus_Support] Re: Need help for ExternalInterface:Actuator
Yes, I was a little too quick to answer, the correct syntaxis is :
ExternalInterface:Actuator,
Block1_Zone1_HVAC, !- Name
Block1:Zone1:HVAC, !- Actuated Component Unique Name
Ideal Loads Air System, !- Actuated Component Type
Air Mass Flow Rate, !- Actuated Component Control Type
; !- Initial Value
I test this way and it is working.
By the way, your are not given the correct information from the err file; the message "Preceding condition causes termination." means that you have something writen before than showing you the problem:
** Severe ** Invalid Actuated Component Type =xxx
** ~~~ ** Entered in EnergyManagementSystem:Actuator=BLOCK1_ZONE1_HVAC
** ~~~ ** Component Type not found
** ~~~ ** Review .edd file for valid component types.
if
you read correctly this message, you can see than the .edd file can
help you with actuators... See the manual for using edd file.
