Rasha, The answer probably depends on what you want to do. I know there is a CFD component to Designbuilder, but I am uncertain exactly how it is linked (if at all)
to EnergyPlus. I assume you want E+ to either provide input to CFD or CFD to provide input to E+. So E+ actually can run outside Designbuilder. Designbuilder just generates code for geometry and mechanical systems and desired outputs before it runs the E+
simulation. You will have to do a lot of coding if you want to link a CFD run to a running E+ simulation, but I believe there are ways to do it.
ODS Studio has code to generate E+ geometry in Blender and link that to OpenFoam CFD. However, the sharing part is to develop pressure coefficients in a Virtual
Wind Tunnel for AirFlowNetwork simulations in E+. There is no runtime data exchange.

Greetings, Can I use EnergyPlus in CFD simulation as a stand alone program without using Designbuilder. Thank you very much __._,_.___
