Re: [EnergyPlus_Support] RH > 100% weather files

You can send the data to me, Joe -- I can't guarantee if the team will accept it or post it on their website after processing.

As the original developer of these weather files, I went back to the original files that are not in the epw format, and found the reason and cause for these anomalies. What's reported in the raw data files are the dry bulb and dew point temperatures, and if they were missing I would interpolate from the available data.

At that time when I created these files (2004), I failed to compare the dry-bulb and dewpoint to each other to make sure that the latter (dewpoint) never exceeded the dry-bulb, something that I had added to my software since.

The correction is very simple, and I have done that on the original files, but I'm not sure the best way to transmit that to the EnergyPlus Weather web site.  I would be happy to work with Linda to make sure these changes are added to the "ETMY" weather files.

Hi ,
I hope you are all well and in best conditions.

I have a problem that appeared before in the Alexandria city weather file and was corrected by Linda Lawrie (great thanks to her). The problem is that the weather file had times where the outdoor RH values were greater than 100% which is impossible.

The same problem appears in weather files of the following weather files in Egypt found on EP website:

Cairo Inl Airport
Al Minya
Asyut
El Arish
Helwan
Ismailia
Luxor

Please help
Thanks
