[Equest-users] pump head

Verena,

My understanding is that pump head is the total head seen by the pump,
and it is calculated in the model by summing up the head of the
components of the system (coils, piping, heat exchangers, valves). If
you make an entry for PUMP-HEAD, then that is the design head for the
pump, not necessarily the actual head seen by the pump. If you leave it
blank, the design head will default to the total head of the parts.

The loop head is just the head of the piping, and the command in DOE2 is
actually PIPE-HEAD. I don't think there is a command called LOOP-HEAD.

Subject: [Equest-users] pump head

Hi,

sorry it is me again, but can anybody explain me the difference between
pump head and loop head? Here in Germany we only have one value for the
complete pressure drop and I do not understand it in the equest help.

Thanks
