[Equest-users] Version 3.64 LEED Compliance

Oops,

I just read these posts. If the plenum space is having difficulty what are
you assigning the space as? Unconditioned? My next question would be do you
think that the plenum zone works only if you schedule the zone as a plenum
return and not a duct return?

Thanks,

I get the same error "Assign zone to baseline floor system CRule:() error
posting symbolic (value 5.18473e-296) result to BDL." It appeared to me
that the error was only referencing half of my building zones. So I removed
the plenums for the building, they error went away and the analysis was
complete. So, it seems that the compliance analysis has trouble assigning a
plenum zone to a system. Has anybody else found a different way around this
or can anybody else shine some light on this?

Hi Karen,

Shortly after our conversation just now I realized the cause for your
problem and the fix is quite easy.

This step was unfortunately not spelled out in the LEED tutorial, so think
of it as Step 1b - to be done after step one (page 6 of the LEED tutorial).

Go into the Project tabbed dialog (double click on the topmost "Project:..."
component in any module's component tree) and select the "LEED-NC - v3.0
(LEED.bin)" option for "Code & Version", as shown below.

Once you do this, you will have access to the Compliance component dialog,
which was previously hidden due to the fact that none of the fields are
valid/activated since no code/version option was selected at the Project
level.

Sorry for the confusion.

I installed eQ v 3.64, and tried to use the compliance analysis on a new
(wizard generated) v 3.64 file. I was able to create the compliance
analysis object in the detailed edit mode, but when I open it to try and
edit it, it closes immediately. There are no other obvious issues with the
file. Any ideas?

Thanks,

Kudos Scott & eQuest team, haven't tried it yet, but that's a great

You can generate a LEED Appendix G baseline model using the new LEED
analysis feature in eQUEST, but to do so for existing models requires the
specification of a variety of LEED AppG-related inputs throughout your
model.

We recommend you read through the LEED tutorial - available from the main
menu in eQUEST: Help / Tutorials and Reference / LEED Analysis.

I was excited to tryout the new version 3.64, but whenever I try the LEED
compliance analysis I get an error message telling me "Assign zone to

result to BDL." This happens whether I load an existing model or create a
new one. Any thoughts?

This occurs on any model I try
