[Equest-users] Changing Multiple Spreadsheet Cells with Single New Value

I could not make the instructions below work.  Could someone explain it in more detail?

Is there a way to edit/change multiple values at one time while in the
Detailed Edit Spreadsheet tab?  Multi-selecting using Ctrl+ didn't seem
to work...

Right-click input box > Left-click edit/view user default > Click
User-defined default value > enter default value in box after colon.

However, that only works if the values in question are already at their
default.   
Nevertheless you can copy and paste multiple values.
