[Equest-users] Error-shellwiz has no valid ZNgRPwIZ Children

This error seems to come from screen 14 in the Shell Wizards if one or
more zones is not assigned to a zone group.  When you copy an existing
shell, it seems like the zone group assignments are not copied (which,
if you think about it, makes sense).  On the screen shown below, make
sure all of your zones are green in one of the zone groups in your model
and the error should go away.  That is, it solved the error for me the
only time I have seen it so far.

Ashok,

 

I haven't seen these particular errors before, but it appears your
wizard-tier inputs are awry... are you currently in wizard edit mode
(SD/DD) or detailed edit mode?

 

May have been caused by trying to copy the shell in an unconventional
manner (like editing the PRD)...  I've also known conflicting/impossible
geometries to cause eQuest to choke up and corrupt input data in both
detailed and wizard modes, on occasion...  or else maybe the program
just randomly hiccupped at the wrong time?

 

If possible, I'd save a separate copy, try to delete the new offending
shell (preferably inside, but otherwise outside of the program within
the .INP/.PRD), and see if that makes the errors go away.  Then I'd try
copying the shell again - but feel free to share the procedure you're
following to see if others can identify a problem.

Dear all,

 i am modeling a building, which has 8 floor. 5-8 floor are similar.
when itry to copy 5th floor shell for making 6th floor shell, it shows
error "shellwiz has no valid ZNgRPwIZ Children" same as i attached the
screenshot.

 

Plz guide me how should i resolve it.
