Strongly suggest reading discussion in the equest-users and bldg-sim
archives.
Depending on the vegetation, you should consider both the rooftop
construction to include at least partially damp soil (and its mass), and
you might also consider a building shade hovering just over the roof on
a schedule appropriate to approximate rooftop surface shading through
the year. Even moderate grass cover can fully shade direct solar gains
when the sun isn't directly overhead... but again it depends on exactly
what is planted.
Expect to make some educated guesses along the way.
Best of luck!

Subject: Re: [Equest-users] Regarding Modeliing
Hi Ashok,
In Building Simulation Thermal Performance is important
rather than Architectural look. So you have to think in terms of
thermodynamic performance of any input you wana simulate in eQuest. I
suppose with roof top garden Roof "U value" is gona change that leads to
lesser heat gain and eventually less more Efficient will be the
building.
Any additional comment from someone will be highly appreciated.
Thanks
