[Equest-users] Condensing domestic water heaters

What are people's preferred method of dealing with condensing gas-fired
domestic water heater efficiency?  Since it's domestic water there are far
fewer variables to deal with, such as supply temperature resets, than a
heating water system.  Is specifying the HIR at the design conditions enough
for a domestic water heater, or do we need to generate specific performance
curves to take account of savings based on a condensing water heater versus
a baseline efficiency model?
