[Equest-users] VAV System - high cooling energy in winter

I have not tried using reset schedules for chilled or hot water temps
because the existing building does not use reset schedules. Where can I
find the loads due to OA?

Have you tried resetting chilled and hot water temperatures? Also, how much
of your load is outside air?

You have the cooling control set at constant – do you know if the existing
building has a sequence of operation to follow?

For a recent new building which had a VAV air handler with a chilled water
coil (water delivered from an aquifer in this case, VFD drives, etc.) I
used the below parameters, which appear to have a large effect on your
model.

Hi,

I’m trying to model an existing building with a chilled water VAV system.
The chilled water usage is much higher in the winter time than expected.
Is this a common issue? Does anyone have any suggestions for fixing this?
My files are attached.
