FYI:

The Department of Architecture, the Department of Construction Science and
the Department of Landscape Architecture and Urban Planning at Texas A&M
University seeks five faculty with expertise in the three "signature" areas
of VISUALIZATION, DESIGN FOR HEALTH, and SUSTAINABILITY to join a dynamic,
interdisciplinary research and teaching community. Positions will be filled
at ranks of assistant professor, associate professor or professor as tenured
or tenure-track appointments to teach and conduct research in one of the
three departments. Successful applicants will join a diverse and preeminent
faculty of artists, architects, landscape architects, designers, engineers,
construction scientists, urban planners, environmental psychologists,
sociologists, and computer scientists.

Candidates should have records of excellence or evidence of extraordinary
potential in research, practice, or creative work in one or more of the
signature areas. Appropriate credentials, such as a doctorate, professional

underrepresented communities. Extensive startup packages are available to
enable new faculty to initiate strong research programs.

of computer graphics, simulation, time-based media, architectural
visualization, construction visualization, geographic information systems,

roles in developing a new department focused on this discipline.

DESIGN FOR HEALTH candidates should possess expertise in areas such as
health facilities design, landscape design, health facilities construction,
health facilities management, healthy communities, environmental psychology,
history and theory, and environmental impacts upon health. Opportunities are
available for new faculty to assume leadership roles in Texas A&M
