[BLDG-SIM] EnergyPlus on multi-cpu systems

Has anyone tried using EnergyPlus in a multi-cpu / shared memory system
environment? Most new CPUs are dual core or quad core. So running a
simulation on these computers will only use, at best 50% of the CPU
resources. So this is a great way to speed up the simulation run-time.

I'm spec-ing out the requirements to get ESP-r to take advantage of this
since both the Intel and gcc 4.2 compilers support the OpenMP standard,
and was wondering if EnergyPlus already allows for this.
