[Bldg-sim] EnergyPlus IDFs, gbXML and Bentley/Autodesk

This is a simple question that I tought of on the gbXML webinar thinking it would be a basic routine on both Bentley´s AECOsim and Autodesk´s Vasari systems, but haven´s found an answer so far. That is:

How can I import EnergyPlus (5, 6 and 7) idf files with all my current modeling information to the environments? From what I have seen there always is a way to start from a gbXML, but how do I go from a "idf" file to a gbXML or straight to AECO or Vasari?

Also, how do I keep compatibility between my AECO / Vasari simulations and a EnergyPlus model?
