[EnergyPlus_Support] Run Control and sizing equipment and plant

Hi
DOE2.1E would size fans, pumps,boilers if you gave it system 
pressures etc.  EnergyPlus appears to be less definitive. I want 
EnergyPlus to size as much as possible so I can do "what-if" studies 
on building fabric.  Looking at a boiler as an example, it is not 
clear whether or not I can leave out the "Nominal Capacity"?

Does anyone know what EnergyPlus will size and what it will not, and 
where I can read about it.
