[EnergyPlus_Support] Reference to Weatherfile

Dear Sir/Madam
The weatherfiles include design day and groundtemperature data. How do these correspond to the IDF objects DesignDay and GroundTemperatures?
While groundtemperatures in the weatherfile are given for different depths, in the IDF there isn't such a classification.
