[EnergyPlus_Support] HVAC Components on/off, bypass status

Dear E+ users,

I am trying to model HVAC consisting of a heater, humidifier, cooler,
preheater and van. During the simulation all 5 elements are trying to reach the
desired room conditions. That is sometimes not useful as they are working
simultaneously and I get a huge energy consumption. During winter time I want to
bypass the cooler and during summer time I want to bypass the preheater as I do
not need them at this time. One possibilty is to define availability
schedules for each element, turning off the heater in summer time for example. But I
want to have them in operation by defining a temperature band, eg. the
cooler should only be active at temperatures from 20 to 40 °C. I could define of
course a schedule after running a simulation and looking at the temperatures
there. But that is not that I want. Is it possible to make the components
working by connecting them to a temperature sensor. Or the other way round can I
generate a availabilty schedule for the components by a definition of IF THEN
concerning temperatures. This is important for me if I change the location
for example from Moscow to Sao Paulo as the weather files are quite different
and it would take a lot of time to generate all the schedules for the new
location.

I hope I could make my problem clear.
Thanks for your help in advance.

Franz
