Franz:

What type of system are you modeling?  Is this a single-zone air 
handler or does it serve multiple zones?  If it is a single-zone air 
handler, then use the furnace or unitary equipment to control heating 
and cooling to meet the zone's needs.  If it is a multi-zone air 
handler, then you can use setpoint managers to deactivate equipment 
based on the zone with the greatest needs (set point manager:warmest) 
or reset control temeperatures based on outdoor air temperature (set 
point manager:outside air).
