[EnergyPlus_Support] About temperature setting

I want to calculate cooling/heating loads in a commercial building
which needs control temperature on day and needn¡¯t control
temperature at night. I find that temperature is set in 24 hours in
example files, whether it is mean cooling loads or heating loads will
be consumed in all time? If so ,loads will be much higher than
practice¡¯s, won¡¯t it? If I don¡¯t want to control temperature in a
time period of a day or in a month of a year, how should I set
schedules?
    Thank you very much!
