Re: [EnergyPlus_Support] COMIS venting modulation

Continuing our exercise with COMIS module...
We have identified the correct value for the Opening Factor Multiplier, at
the timestep report frequency (this is ok!).

But we are suspecting of high values for Pressure Coeficients (Cp), which
result in high Air Change Rates (104... 156... 212ach, for the model
describe in the earlier email). Even when we use "COMIS Cp Values" and
"COMIS Cp Array" objects with low values (0.9 and -0.2 for opposite windows,
for example) the EnergyPlus reports high values of Cp (9.81 and -2.18, for
example).

Any idea about this behaviour? This could be related with the interpolation
of Cp in the window or façade?

Thanks,
Fernando

This is a bug in version 1.2.0.029. There are three COMIS report variables
that are incorrectly summing instead of averaging. In the rdd file, these
are
listed as:

Zone,Sum,Opening Factor Multiplier for COMIS Venting Modulation[]
Zone,Sum,Inside Temp Setpoint for COMIS Venting[C]
Zone,Sum,Venting Availability[]

To see the expected values for these variables, you must report them at the
"timestep" reporting frequency.

This has been fixed for the next release (CR#6362).
