Take a look at the example file "MultiStory.idf" and see if that will help 
answer your questions.  The first part of the file contains some tips on 
modeling multi-story buildings.

You probably want to look at it in a text editor like Wordpad rather than 
in the IDFeditor which won't show you the comments very well.
