Several people have used this option without problem.

You can send your input file to energyplus-support@xxxxxxxx or upload it to 
the problem submittals area and we can look at it, if you like.

The Window5DataFile needs to be in the same folder that you will "execute" 
from.  Usually, this is where the EnergyPlus.exe file is.  We don't have an 
automated way, currently, of doing that for you.  But the Window5DataFile 
can contain multiple instances for use.
