I am not sure that I understand your question.  TRNSYS is no longer linked with 
EnergyPlus.  A TRNSYS module was previously included only for photovoltaic (PV) 
simulations, but this function is now handled within EnergyPlus.  Basic hot 
water storage can be modeled using WATER HEATER:SIMPLE.  More advanced thermal 
storage components (hot and cold) are under development for EnergyPlus.
