Re: [EnergyPlus_Support] Questions

Mike could you help me finding the energy code for the USA of the typical office lighting and infiltration.

Thanks

1. This is a reheat system, so the reheat coils pick up the remaining heating
load, raising the 18C central supply air to a higher temperature.

2. Heating coils are always placed directly on the branch, DX coils are not.
Gas and electric heating coils can control themselves by specifiying a control
node which has a valid setpoint on it. DX coils cannot, so they must be
enclosed in another component such as DX System:Air Loop (see example file
5ZoneAutoDXVAV.idf). Hot water coils require a CONTROLLER:SIMPLE.

3. I am not sure what you mean by this question. A node only has meaning if
it is used by a component.

4. Do a simulation with DAYLIGHTING in it and consult the rdd output file for
daylighting related variables (illuminances, glare index, lighting power
multiplier, etc.)

5. Do you mean typical or most efficient available? This may vary regionally.
I suggest consulting the applicable energy codes for the location you are
modeling.
