Re: [EnergyPlus_Support] COMIS + nodes

Sebastian,

Let me see if I got the point of your question correctly. Are you
interested in subdividing a thermal zone into two COMIS airflow zones solely
because you want to see the individual air flows through two windows from
that zone to the outdoors ? If so, I'm afraid you're out of luck The
original COMIS program allows users to print out the air flows through each
node, i.e., window or crack, but these variables are not passed to
EnergyPlus in the current implementation. We also did not foresee the need
for allowing a COMIS zone without a thermal counterpart, from which
EnergyPlus derives the zone volume, neutral height, etc. Therefore, my only
suggestion is for you to also create two thermal zones corresponding to the
COMIS zones, and proceed accordingly. I have no suggestions on how to model
the "interior wall" , either thermally and air-flow-wise, between the two
zones (or subzones).
