[EnergyPlus_Support] Return Air Plenum

Is there any reason why a common return air plenum (zone with heat 
gains that collects return air from many conditioned zones) cannot be 
configured to supply several air handling units, each referring to that 
plenum zone outlet node for their respective return air inlet node? I 
am encountering a severe error - 'duplicate node detected in return air 
path' for each AHU.
