Re: [EnergyPlus_Support] Global horizontal solar radiation
Andrea,
Multiple 9s in a field in most weather formats means missing.
Yes, you're correct that EnergyPlus only uses direct and diffuse
radiation. That particular data source may not have had
global radiation (hence the 9s).
I would remind you that some of the data are copyright and our
license allows them to be used with EnergyPlus, not necessarily
other programs.

Hello,
I understand this is more an eQuest (DOE2 engine) question, but just in
case you know.
I'm using an EnergyPlus weather file to generate an Equest weather file
(using eQ_WthProc ). Since The epw I'm using do not have Global horizontal
solar radiation, I guess E+ uses only direct normal and diffuse horizontal
?, the epw file have 9999 value for all Global horizontal solar values. The
.bin file I get have 9999 as Global horizontal, does eQuest ( DOE2 engine)
uses that values in its calculation ?
Thanks a lot for reading this.
Andrea.
