[EnergyPlus_Support] Question about modelling false ceiling

Hello all,

I've a modelling issue related to false ceilings...
Usually, I create my geometric model in DesignBuilder, in which I
define the block height. Intuitively, I assumed that this block height
correspond to the zone height from the floor to the false ceiling (if
existent) or from the floor to the slab. Exporting the idf file I 've
concluded that the block height is ALWAYS the zone´s height and if I
define a suspended ceiling, DB automtically defines two aditional
layers (ceiling material and an air gap), in the floor/ceiling
construction.

So, my point is:

1. Should I model my building defining the zone height from floor to
false ceiling and add the ceiling material and air gap layers to the
floor/ceiling construction (By doing this i'm loosing external
building area)

2. Should I define an additional zone with false ceiling height (more
computacional effort), even if I'm not simulating a return plenum,
between the two building floors

3.Do the simulation as defined in DB defining the total height from
the floor to the slab (By doing this, i´m increasing the heated or
cooled volume and the 'fresh air' volume

I'm not an experienced user, so I would like to ask experienced users
which is the most reasonable choice to solve this question

Thanks in advance

Best Regards
