[EnergyPlus_Support] Suspended ceilings / clouds

I have a couple of questions about the modeling of suspended ceilings
/ clouds.

1. If a suspended ceiling is not being used as a plenum, is it
necessary to create a separate zone to represent the space between the
suspended ceiling and actual ceiling? It seems fairly obvious that
this would be more accurate, but I'm curious if the difference in
accuracy is significant enough to justify the increased
modeling/computational effort.

2. In a project that I'm working on, there are a number of perimeter
spaces that have suspended "clouds" --in this case, essentially
suspended ceilings that stop ~30cm from the walls on all sides of the
room. In most rooms, these clouds are sloped, with a height of about
6m on one side of the room, and about 3.5m on the other. The rooms are
about 8.5m x 8.5m with an actual ceiling height of 7.5m. In most
cases, the intent is to ventilate these rooms via displacement
ventilation. Again, my question is: how should these clouds be
accounted for, if at all?

Thanks a lot for any assistance,

Josh
